Do ya'll think we could put the OSR logo somewhere?
Do you guys think it's about time for another revision of the front page?
If we're trying to show site activity up front, it wouldn't be hard to remove some of the text, add an OSR banner, pull in some automatic text from recent sessions, forum posts, etc.
Do we have a graphic designer on board yet? :)

I could swap it for the Basic book in the top right. Or maybe the Erol Otis pic on the front page?

I think that Johnstone should start running games on Google+ so we can also throw a Flailsnails banner up as well…
Chris: Don't lose the Basic book, but the Erol Otis could go. Can you put it (the OSR) just below the Basic book? Above the add new page?
Blair: I need a new computer first, I have no web cam or headphones etc. Maybe after April, though…
Agreed on changing the front page - OSR banner would be great. Definitely keep the Red book.
My wife's a graphic designer, if we don't harass her too much I could convince her to help out :)
I'd love to get her to give us some feedback on how to present the info better. That goes for everyone. I've never been someone looking for RBV on the Internet… But you guys were. What was useful and what wasn't about the site?

First off, she really wants to emphasize that the page isn't bad - it's quite good.
Her thoughts:
On the front page she suggests reducing the amount of information. She said that she'd change it so there's "information hierarchy" - ie: more important information is more prominent.
So we could remove the "returning player" or reduce it's size, since a returning player will be seeking out information (we don't have to grab their attention like you would with a new person), and maybe consolidate some of the "new player" information:
NEW PLAYERS
New players are always welcome.
We play most Thursday evenings at Waves on Broadway near Spruce - see our calendar below.
Find out [[What We're Playing]] or check out actual play reports for [[Planet Algol]] and [[Black Peaks]].
Taking out the "About" section is fine because most people know to look at the top menu bar for the "about us" section.
P.S. She really likes the OSR icon.
I didn't know what to do with the latest session, so I left it intact. Otherwise I tried to stick with her suggestions and I think the result is a much stronger page. Please tell her thanks and let me know if either of you have further ideas.
I left the new player text lowercase because the size looked strange to me… Let me know if that was a bad call. (also its annoying doing caps on an iPad.)
