does it use 3d6? every one i've made so far has had better stats then i've ever rolled

Yep, it uses 3d6… you probably just got lucky.

One thing that I haven't bothered to figure out is how it determines the class. I know it's based on the score of your highest stat, but there must be some logic in there that results in a lot of fucking thieves. The whole thing is written in javascript, by the way, so if you know that language you can view the page source and inspect it.
