Hey site admins/DMs/other people who care,
Our recent experiment with dynamically creating a list of Magic Items was excellent. It has me thinking about how we could use tags to track other things like retainers, PCs both living and dead, PCs by level (for organizing expeditions), etc.
The retainers page is a PITA to maintain, so it's a prime candidate for the tag treatment. And most (or all) of the retainers are tagged with "retainer", so it shouldn't be too hard. What I propose is that we sort out how to tag or otherwise denote the current employer of said retainer, and that we also tag them with their current home (ie "threshold", "vineyard") and "deceased" where appropriate. Then I'll whip up a retainer page like the magic item page and voila, no more retainers with two employers, or multiple Wayne Scottings and Terences.
I'd also like to figure out how to make DM-only notes on retainers, so if someone hires someone greedy, traitorous or wanted under one DM, the knowledge doesn't get lost when the employing PC goes to another dungeon.
